“Stakeholders Dialogue on Human Rights and Global Agendas at the Local Level”

The OHCHR is preparing a new report on how to foster cooperation between local governments and stakeholders, on human rights at the local level. In this context, it is important to assess progresses and achievements made of local governments’ role to promote and protect human rights, in regards to the first UN HRC’s Resolution on “local government and human rights”, in 2013.
The side-event will explore human rights at the local level and identify opportunities and challenges, so as to propose recommendations.
