As a direct result of the FRA framework of commitments of the HRC, five webinars on topics related to Human Rights Cities will take place in the frame of the Cologne Human Rights City Initiative Webinar Series (2021-2022).
Sebastian Bartsch, Chairman of the Cologne Human Rights City Initiative, announced the first two events that will be held this year on the 24th of November and on the 3rd of December 2021. Both will be co-hosted by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
The first webinar will be on the theme of ‘a global perspective on local human rights responsibility’, and the second will examine ‘the rise of human rights cities in the EU’. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and to contribute to the sessions through the moderated Q&A sessions. Each webinar will last around an hour and a half, and will be held in English.
Registrations for both events or one of the two – can be made by e-mail to events@initiative-menschenrechtsstadt-koeln.de
