Human Rights Go Local: What Works
The Academy and Conference on Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels 2021 focus on “Field-proven research methods on human rights“. Participate to the Call for Applications opened until the 9th December 2020 .
The International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels operates under the auspices of UNESCO, and the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Human Security in Graz in Austria. Together with UNESCO, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the International center invites you to participate to their Call for Applications.
The Academy collect proven methods for research on human rights at the local level and to formulate guidance for local governments to support their policies by evidence-based on human rights research. The aim is to facilitate local policies’ implementation by providing politicians and authorities with the findings gathered during the Academy.
The Conference’s goal is to support local level authorities with knowledge on the state of the art in research on human rights at local level. Concrete proposals will assist local authorities to locally implement the international agenda following a human rights-based approach.
