Mr Sebastian Bartsch – How LGBTIQ rights contribute to city to city cooperation,
Founder and chair of the Cologne Human Rights City Initiative (2020); many years of experience in voluntary human rights and political engagement at local level; in my professional capacity working as a freelance consultant in international development cooperation, focusing on governance and human rights; previous employment, inter alia, with the OECD and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ); PhD from Freie Universität Berlin.
Joana Ivarsson Vitório – The challenge to put human rights into practice
Joana Ivarsson Vitório works as a strategist for social sustainability and human rights at the city council office in the city of Lund since April 2023. Joana has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in human rights. She has more than ten years of experience working within the area of human rights and social sustainability with a special focus on children’s rights. Joana’s previous work experience comes from working with the civil society and different state actors.
